Abstracts submission guidelines
Submission Method
Abstracts must be submitted exclusively through the RAA2025 online system. Submissions via any other means will not be accepted. Participants may submit a maximum of two extended abstracts. Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format (*.doc or .docx).
Authorship & Consent
The presenting author must ensure that all co-authors are informed of and consent to the abstract content. Avoid any potential conflict of interest.
Originality
The research presented in the abstract must be original. It must not have been previously published or presented.
Language
All abstracts must be submitted in English, the official language of the RAA2025 conference.
Presentation Format
Indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation. The Scientific Committee will make the final decision regarding the presentation format.
- Deadline for abstract submission: 31 March 2025
- Notification of abstract acceptance: end-May 2025
- Publication scientific program: end-June 2025
- Deadline for Online Registration for presenting authors: 15 July 2025

Call for Papers Journal of Raman Spectroscopy (JRS) Special Issue

The Journal of Raman Spectroscopy (JRS) continues its tradition of supporting the Raman in Art and Archaeology (RAA) conference series by publishing a selection of papers presented at the 12th RAA international meeting, RAA2025.
Topics for this call for papers include but are not restricted to:
- Material characterization and conservation: Identification, degradation analysis, conservation products, forensic studies.
- Combined analytical approaches: Integration with XRF, LIBS, FTIR, HPLC for comprehensive diagnostics.
- Non-conventional methods: SERS, SORS, synchrotron radiation for stratified and complex materials.
- Technological innovation: Wide-field imaging, in situ analysis, instrument miniaturization, advanced mapping.
- Data analysis and open science: Chemometrics, machine learning, standardization, digital infrastructures.

Important Information
To ensure consistency and avoid conflicts with the RAA conference proceedings, authors must adhere to the following conditions when submitting to JRS:
- The title and abstract in the abstract published in PLINIUS must differ from those in the manuscript submitted to JRS.
- The same figure(s) must not be published in both PLINIUS and JRS.
