Aggelos Philippidis

Aggelos Philippidis received his Doctorate degree from Chemistry Department of the University of Crete, Greece, in 2009. His thesis was on the study of molecular compounds metal-chalcogenides: Synthesis, Characterization and study of their solution chemistry. He received his master degree from the same department, in 2003. At that period he has investigated the geographical and botanical classification of Greek extra virgin olive oil by NMR spectroscopy and chemometrics. He received his B.Sc.

Beatrice Campanella

Dr. Beatrice Campanella received her PhD in Chemical and Material Sciences in 2016 from the University of Pisa. Since 2019, she has been a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of Organometallic Compounds of the National Research Council. Her research focuses on the development of spectroscopic and chemometric methods applied to the study of clinical, environmental, and cultural heritage materials.

Claudia Conti

PhD in Materials Engineering and senior Researcher at the Institute of Heritage Science (ISPC) of the National Research Council (CNR). Her research interests are focused on the development of advanced non-invasive Raman methods and their application to Cultural Heritage materials. 

She is coordinating the Raman Spectroscopy Laboratory at ISPC:

Eugenia Tomasini

Eugenia Tomasini earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences specializing in Inorganic, Analytical, and Physical Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in 2010 and is currently a Researcher at National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET). Since 2024, she has been the Coordinator of the Laboratory of Analytical Techniques and Imaging at Centre for Research in Art, Matter, and Culture (Centro MATERIA), National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF).

Laura Fornasini

Laura Fornasini is a researcher at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences of University of Parma. Her research focuses on materials of archaeological, artistic and environmental interest, mainly by Raman spectroscopy.

Stefano Legnaioli

Stefano LEGNAIOLI is graduated in Physic, Ph.D. in Chemistry, Master on Innovation and Knowledge Transfer (MIT) at the School of Management MIP, Politecnico of Milano. He is Senior researcher at the Italian National Council for Research - Institute for the Chemistry of OrganoMetallic Compounds. His research experience lies in the field of laser spectroscopy, particularly LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy), Raman, SERS, XRF and Multispectral Imaging techniques.

Maya Musa

Scientific Researcher specializing in analytical protocol development for material Identification and characterization. Her skills are correlated with the application of different analytical techniques, such as optical and electron microscopy, vibrational spectroscopies (micro-Raman and FTIR/micro-FTIR), UV-Vis/NIR Spectroscopy and colourimetry, Elemental Analyses (EDS and XRF) and multispectral imaging techniques.

Riccardo Tagliapietra

Graduated with an instrumental work of thesis at the department of Industrial Chemistry of the University of Turin (Italy) in 1993, implementing buffer gas systems for Ion Trap Mass spectrometers, and after a one year research project in analytical chemistry, developing machine tools cooling lubricants pollutants detection systems at Fiat Research Center (Italy), Riccardo has led a project for the development of a resilient fluorinated polymer for the informatics industry at M.V.O. Group (Italy).
